Using marble clay as a foundation I am exploring the connect/disconnect of psychology and surface.

The patterns and textures randomly formed in the medium force me to look deeper than the surface and understand the character of the individual.

With these pieces I was having fun with color and shape that express my interpretation of the beauty in nature, not to mimic or document nature but to create a feeling of the beauty and mystery experienced there.
